About Us
APS Club No. 68806 Since 1972
The Dallas-Park Cities Philatelic Society (DPCPS) was founded in Dallas in 1961 as the Park Cities Philatelic Society, primarily to serve collectors in Highland Park and University Park, two enclave towns just north of downtown Dallas. The club combined in the year 2000 with the Dallas Philatelic Society, which had apparently been formed in the 1970s to serve collectors in rapidly growing areas of north Dallas.
From 1962-1976, the Park Cities Philatelic Society sponsored an annual stamp show PARPEX at various locations, first as small one day events and later as two to three day shows.
The society’s journal, Stamp and Tongs, has been published intermittently for 63 years.
Our appreciation goes out to all those individuals who made this organization function over the years. Your support through a membership, contributions to our newsletters and attendance at meetings will help ensure the Dallas-Park Cities Philatelic Society thrives well into the future.
